Where is Cherì Navona?+
AT VICOLO DEI SOLDATI 44, IN THE HEART OF THE HISTORIC CENTRE, ABOUT 400 METRES FROM PIAZZA NAVONA.
From here you can walk almost everywhere: San Luigi dei Francesi with its three Caravaggios, the Pantheon, Castel Sant'Angelo, Campo de' Fiori, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna, the Jewish Ghetto, Tiber Island, Trastevere, the Capitol and the Forum. The Colosseum, St Peter's and Piazza del Popolo are a walk too.
What time is check-in and check-out?+
Check-in is from 15:00 to 20:00; check-out is by 10:00. Please let us know your expected arrival time in advance.
Can I arrive late?+
Yes, if agreed in advance. A surcharge applies: 20:00–23:00 €30; 23:00–08:00 €50. Write to us as soon as you know your flight or train times.
Are there windows?+
Yes. On the ground floor the kitchen has a large window looking onto Vicolo dei Soldati. On the lower floor the lightwell window opens above the sofa bed, in the room that is both living area and second sleeping area. Only the alcove, at the far end of the lower floor, lies under a masonry vault and has no window. The home has air conditioning and an air purification system that is always on. ⚠ IMPORTANT: for this reason the home is NOT suitable for anyone who suffers from claustrophobia or who wants a bedroom with an outside view. If you have even the slightest doubt, write to us before booking: we will explain exactly how the house is built, so you choose knowing.
Is the home suitable for children?+
Children of all ages are welcome. Children are guests like everyone else and are welcome at any age. Only the rate changes: up to and including the age of four the stay is complimentary, provided they sleep in their parents' bed; from the age of five the adult rate applies. A cot or travel cot is available on request at €15 per night. Please bear in mind that the two levels are connected by an inner staircase.
How does the hammam work?+
The hammam is the steam bath of the eastern tradition. There is no separate cabin here: the bathroom itself becomes one, and it takes only seconds to fill with warm, humid steam. You breathe slowly, the skin softens and the muscles unwind. It is not a sauna (there the heat is dry and far higher) and it does not replace the bathroom: the bathroom here is complete and perfectly ordinary — washbasin, WC and a step-free walk-in hydromassage shower — with the hammam built into the same room, just for you. You switch it on from the control panel, with adjustable chromotherapy and lighting. Aromatherapy essences are available on request, for a fee; step-by-step instructions are in your guest area.
Is there Wi-Fi?+
Yes, Wi-Fi is free. The network name and password appear in your guest area once your payment is confirmed.
Can I cook?+
Yes: the kitchenette has two hobs, espresso and filter-coffee machines, toaster, kettle, juicer, a popcorn maker, pans and tableware.
Are pets allowed?+
Yes, on request. When you book you will find a box to tick: you tell us what kind of pet it is, its name and its size. Your booking goes through as usual and we confirm within a few hours. If we cannot host it, we will tell you straight away and refund you in full.
How much is the tourist tax?+
Rome charges a city tourist tax of €6 per person per night, up to 10 nights; children under 10 are exempt. For direct bookings you can pay it online together with your stay.
Can I check out later?+
On request, and if no one is arriving the same day, late check-out is possible for half the nightly rate.
What are the house rules?+
The home is non-smoking: the ban covers every form of smoke and vapour (cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, shisha). Parties are not allowed. Please respect the neighbours' peace and always lock the door when you go out. When you go out, please switch off the lights, the air conditioning or heating and the hammam: a small gesture that is good for the house and for the city. If the keys are lost, a fee of €250 is charged to replace the lock.
How do I get here from the airport?+
From Fiumicino the Leonardo Express train reaches Termini in about half an hour; from there you continue by taxi or bus. Rome's official white taxis charge a fixed fare from the airports to the centre, displayed in the car: ask before you get in. If you prefer a private car with driver (NCC) waiting at arrivals, that is a service run by third-party operators: write to us and we will tell you whom to contact; booking, price and payment are agreed directly with the operator. Your guest area has the exact address and directions to the front door, in Vicolo dei Soldati.
Where can I park?+
**sabato: 14:00–18:00**
**venerdì e sabato notte: 23:00–3:00**
(esclusi i giorni festivi).
* Parking Via Giulia — Via Bravaria 8, zona Via Giulia.
**€1,20/ora nelle ZTL**
**€1,00/ora fuori dalle ZTL**.
🚗 **Arrivi in automobile? Nessun problema.**

How do I book a taxi?+
Rome's Radiotaxi answers on +39 06 3570, around the clock: the number is also among the useful ones in your guest area, ready to tap. Alternatively there are the taxi apps. Taxis are a public service: you pay the fare directly to the driver. If language is a problem or the number does not answer, write to us from your area: we will help you get in touch.
What do guests who book on the website get?+
It is not a gift but a set of advantages, and it is everything that opens up once your booking is confirmed. You get your private guest area, with our own guide to Rome, neighbourhood tips and the house instructions. At the end of your stay, in that same area, you will find your personal keepsake postcard with your name and the dates of your holiday, to download and keep. And you receive a personal code that works twice over: a discount for the friends you give it to and a discount for you on your next stay, growing as they book. All included, only for guests who book directly here.
How does the discount for friends work?+
After your stay you will find a personal code in your guest area. Anyone booking with that code gets an immediate discount; you keep a discount for your own next stay, which grows as more of your friends actually book. It applies only to bookings made on this website, and the discount appears automatically in the quote, before you pay.
Why does the price change from one date to another?+
Because the price is dynamic: it takes into account the season, the day of the week, how far ahead you are booking and how many nights you stay. Booking well in advance or staying longer lowers the price per night; in the busiest periods it goes up. Before paying you always see the full quote, with every item spelled out and no platform fees.
How does the heating work?+
The home has underfloor heating, included in the price: no surcharge. It warms the rooms evenly and silently, with no radiators in sight. In Rome, however, heating may only be switched on during the period and hours set each year by the City, and within a temperature limit: last season the Rome ordinance allowed a maximum of 19 °C (plus 2 °C tolerance) and a limited number of hours a day, from 15 November to 8 April. The national rule for our climate zone (DPR 74/2013) sets the limit at 20 °C plus 2 of tolerance, from 1 November to 15 April. Up-to-date dates and limits are published on comune.roma.it.
What will I find already in the house?+
In the house you will find: iron and ironing board, hairdryer, washer-dryer, safe. In the bathroom you will find shampoo, conditioner and bath foam, along with bed linen and towels. In the kitchen there are pans and tableware, espresso and filter-coffee machines, toaster, kettle, juicer and a popcorn maker.
How does check-in work?+
We normally welcome you in person. Remote check-in is also available: the door has a numeric keypad and, when needed, we send you a code that works only for your stay. The code and the instructions with photos of the entrance arrive the day before your arrival, in your guest area and by message, once the stay and the tourist tax have been settled. On arrival you type the code, walk in and find the keys on the kitchen table. After you leave, the code stops working. Just tell us your expected arrival time: we take care of the rest.
What's the air like inside? Is there air conditioning?+
Yes, there's air conditioning, plus an air purification system running continuously in every room. In winter there's underfloor heating. When you go out, please switch things off — the house keeps its temperature anyway.
Can I play my own music in the house?+
Yes. A built-in sound system carries your music through the whole house, bathroom included — even inside the hammam. We only ask you to keep the volume respectful of the neighbours.
What is the starry ceiling in the bedroom like?+
Switch off the light and the Great Bear and Little Bear come on above the alcove. It is a fibre-optic vault: the colour shifts slowly, on its own, and you watch them from the bed as long as you want.
Can I do laundry?+
Yes, there's a washer-dryer in the house: it washes and dries in the same drum, so there's nothing to hang out. There's an iron and ironing board too. If you need a proper laundry, your guest area lists a few nearby with the walking time.
How do the aromatherapy scents work?+
The scents are available on request and are a paid extra. You can choose your fragrance before you arrive, from the ones available: you'll find it ready and waiting, so your wellness ritual starts the moment you open the door. Step-by-step instructions for using them with the hammam are in your guest area.
Can you find me a tour guide?+
Guided visits are run by licensed tour guides, who are independent professionals: Cherì does not organise or sell them. If you would like one, tell us which day you have in mind and what interests you: we will point you to whom to contact. Availability, price and payment are agreed directly with the guide. Meanwhile, Cherì's Guide has itineraries you can follow on your own.
